• Coarse Location — City-level location, entered manually by you (NOT GPS tracking)

Data NOT Linked to Your Identity

• Crash Data — Anonymous crash reports for app stability
• Performance Data — Anonymous performance metrics
• Product Interaction — Anonymous usage analytics to improve the app

Data Purposes

All data linked to your identity is collected for App Functionality only. Product Interaction data is used for Analytics to improve the app experience.

2. Tracking

We do NOT track users. TANDE does not use any advertising SDKs, does not share data with data brokers, and does not engage in any third-party advertising. Your data is never sold or shared for advertising purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and improve our vibe-based discovery algorithm
• Power AI Companion features (daily insights, reflections, energy balance)
• Generate personalized AI conversation coaching suggestions
• Deliver Wisdom Library content relevant to your interests
• Enable end-to-end encrypted chat
• Process subscriptions and purchases
• Communicate with you about updates and features

4. AI and Your Data

Our AI features (AI Companion and Conversation Coaching) process your data to provide helpful suggestions and insights. Here's what you should know:

• Messages may be sent to OpenAI for AI coaching features
• AI processing happens on secure servers with encryption
• We do not sell your conversation data to any third parties
• AI suggestions are for informational purposes, not professional advice
• You can delete your conversation history at any time

5. End-to-End Encryption

All chat messages on TANDE are end-to-end encrypted. This means:

• Only you and the person you're chatting with can read messages
• Even TANDE cannot read your encrypted messages
• View-once media is automatically deleted after being viewed

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services as data processors:

• Supabase — Authentication, database, and storage
• Sentry — Crash reporting and performance monitoring
• RevenueCat — Subscription management
• OpenAI — AI features (messages sent for AI coaching)

These services act as data processors on our behalf and are contractually bound to handle your data securely and in compliance with applicable laws.

7. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your data:

• End-to-end encryption for all chat messages
• Secure data centers with SOC 2 compliance (via Supabase)
• Regular security audits
• No data shared with advertisers or data brokers

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Download your data from Settings
• Opt out of marketing communications

You can download and delete your data directly from the Settings page within the app at any time.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain it.
